The most important calibration tool is the calibration target.
The calibration target is two sided.
On side is a regular grid of black dots on a white background that completely covers the area where the slab will be photographed. This is the side used to create dimensional accuracy.
The second side of the calibration target is simply a white background that also completely covers the area where the slab will be photographed. This is used to create the light variation map.
This is one of the parts of the photo station that can be made local to your shop, but you can also order completed targets.
See the support area of the web site for specifications to create your own calibration targets.
Gray cards are used to set the white balance of your camera which is used to provide accurate color reproduction.
Calibration targets will be available directly from us in bundles of 5 sheets. When placed together this will cover an area of at least 12'x8'.
Gray cards can be purchased at any photography store. |
